Michael Jackson ‘Pilgrimage’ Heads to UAE

Middle East : 29 June 2010

STA Travel has launched a tour for ‘die-hard’ fans to celebrate the life of Michael Jackson, taking in over five continents, and including the Middle East.  The tour visits London, Paris, Venice and Athens before arriving in the UAE and Bahrain.

Highlights of this leg of the trip, which STA say will ‘introduce pilgrims’ to the ‘cultural diversity’ that Jackson apparently enjoyed on his visit to the region, will include a real estate tour of the UAE, which the pop star undertook with a ‘champion UAE rally driver’. Also on the itinerary is a trip to the mosques that impressed Jackson when he visited them in 2005 – something which sparked of rumours that he had converted to Islam at the time.

STA Travel spokesman, John Constable, said that the tour aim was to celebrate Jackson’s music and ‘philanthropic actions’ whilst giving fans a chance to ‘follow in his footsteps.’

If you fancy a ticket the ‘King of Pop’ tour will costs £12,000.  But for those fans who are on a budget, or who can’t live with just a copy of his Greatest Hits,  stages of the tour can be undertaken seperately, for the princely sum of £2,759.
