Giving employment options to candidates early on in the year, Tawdheef 2013 (a major recruitment event) will announce vacancies from major companies in the country in the days to come.

Set to run from January 29-31, 2013 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Tawdheef will offer opportunities to both UAE nationals and residents of the country.

“About 2000 jobs are likely to be on offer and as the companies get clear about their hiring plans this number could go up. The majority of these jobs will go to the nationals,” Sanjay Zaveri, Group Marketing Manager of Informa exhibitions told Emirates 24|7.

Employers from the government, defense, energy, manufacturing, banking, tourism and several other sectors will be present at the event scouting for the right candidates.

A number of vacancies have already been announced by companies and big names that will be participating include Abu Dhabi Airports Company, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, ADNOC, Du, Etisalat, First Gulf Bank and many others.

Thousands of jobs are expected to open up in the country in the coming years. As per the figures released by Tawdheef last year, Abu Dhabi alone is expected to create more than 600,000 new jobs over the next decade, giving umpteen choices to candidates.

Thousands of Emiratis are expected to visit the recruitment event, say the event’s organisers.

The event aims to provide employment to nationals. Companies with immediate job openings for UAE nationals are taking part, so you may expect to walk out of the premises with an offer letter in hand.

However, those looking to attend the event to further their career are required to pre-register but this is mandatory for non-UAE Nationals. A simple online form and a drive to the capital could help give a boost to your career.
