HCL Technologies Ltd., Information technology giant of India announced expansion of its Dubai based Middle East operation for creation of 5,000 jobs and more than $300 million in incomes within five years.
The $5 billion HCL informed that its latest regional headquarters in Dubai would facilitate to enter into other Middle Eastern markets.
Shiv Nadar, founder chairman & chief strategy officer of HCL said that Dubai is a gateway for the GCC, the entire Middle East as well as North Africa. He is searching for an anchor customer to increase impetus to the regional expansion. He is planning to offer BPO, product engineering and R&D, infrastructure management services and custom applications.
Malek Sultan Al Malek, Executive Director, Dubai Internet City (DIC), said that HCL’s expanded facilities at DIC will further facilitate them to exploit market prospects through enterprises and programmes offered at the technology business park.
Virender Aggarwal, senior vice president of Technologies said the opening of the Dubai office implied the tactical significance of the Middle East market in HCL’s growth strategy. He was upbeat about long term investment in this region.
