EmiratesAvenue.com CEO, Julien Pascual, has said that the iPhone 4 will not be available – officially – in the UAE until the latter part of this year, or ‘maybe even later.’
The UAE witnessed intense demand earlier this year for the iPad tablet, which is still not yet sold by Apple in the region but, according to Pascual, demand for the iPhone 4 is even greater.
But that didn’t deter Dubai based iPhone fanatic, Alex Lee, 27 who flew into London from Dubai and queued up for a staggering 32 hours for the honour of being the first in the 500+ queue to purchase the new gadget. Unfortunately for Lee, only those enthusiasts who had pre-ordered were allowed into Apples Flagship London Store on Regent Street. Mr Lee was, eventually able to buy his dream phone, but is still planning on complaining about his experience to Steve Jobs, Apples CEO.Sarah O'Connell, Staff Writer, Gulf Jobs Market
