The Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires (known as INSEAD) one of the world’s best business schools, has formally inaugurated its campus in Abu Dhabi at an official ceremony held in the presence of Aide-de-camp to the President, Sheikh Omar Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and under the patronage of General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Supreme Commander.
The now fully-fledged campus, based on Muroor Street, is a fourteen storey building which includes two conference rooms, three amphitheatres, a library and a floor of study rooms. It is only INSEAD’s third campus with the other two based in France and Singapore.
INSEAD Dean, Frank Brown, said that after exploration the business school had identified Abu Dhabi as being the ‘ideal location’ for the campus and Abu Dhabi’s ‘developing’ educational field was one that was fitted in with INSEAD’s ‘vision on education.’
The campus began life as an institute that focused on research pertinent to the UAE and surrounding region. It now has eight faculty members in residence and 40,000 alumni spread across the world.Paul Holdsworth, Staff Writer, Gulf Jobs Market News
