Infrastructure Developments Worth Dh 4 Billion Set for Fujairah Will Create New Jobs

Fujairah : 14 December 2010

Massive developments scheduled to roll out from 2011 to 2013.

A large investment in the infrastructure of Fujairah has been announced, with Dh 4 billion from the budget marked for 35 projects throughout the emirate.

The orders were issued by the Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also Dubai’s Ruler.  A Cabinet meeting early this week was chaired by His Highness with Fujairah government department directors in attendance.

These developments are set to roll out over a broad time period from 2011 to 2013.

Orders were also issued by Shaikh Mohammad that saw a group of local officials within the government team with Cabinet officials to monitor the follow through of these project proposals.

His Highness urged that this team needs to be coordinated with the National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority to deliver assistance to graduating nationals looking for work in the UAE.

He also issued an order that the road between Dubai and Fujairah officially be named in honour of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE.
