The Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) launched a mobile service centre on a van to speed up business procedures.
“The van would be roaming Dubai areas to finalise their licence procedures or consumer-related issues and through an official team from the department,” Halima Atiq, one of the service operating volunteers, told Gulf News.
The service and van was featured during Dubai World Conference for Consumer Rights and Dubai Power Brand Exhibition. Currently the department will carry one van while more will be spotted across several areas in Dubai following certain schedule.
The van carries the DED logos and consumer protection promos and will be provided by two devices equipped with the department system to be able to complete customer transactions.
Getting inside the vehicle the consumer will feel as if he is visiting one of the DED counters as can complete the transactions in a proper setting and air-conditioned space.
DED is seeking to create new product to enhance the business environment as well as to ease the lives of people, Halima said.
Etisalat will be also providing a lot of its services through this mobile centre.
