Dubai Launches the World’s Biggest Online Take-Away

Dubai, UAE : 18 June 2010

As the demand for home delivered food soars in the UAE a Turkish businessman has come up with the ideal way to meet customer’s differing food requests.

Nevzat Aydin, founder of Turkish online take-away website, has extended his reach to the UAE by launching which is now the world’s biggest online delivery food service.

Unusually, for an online home delivery service, users need not have a credit card handy and can pay in cash for the items when delivered at the door.  Already 600 restaurants have signed up, including Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Pizza Express.

Mr Aydin said that the UAE was a ‘great environment’ for online home food delivery because of ‘tough’ weather conditions.   The company is aiming to spend around $1million in marketing the website with hopes for $2million worth of sales in the first year.
