Abu Dhabi to redevelop a Park for all People

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates : 16 April 2010

A park which was previously known as a park just for women is now to be redeveloped into a new ‘people’s park,’ with many new features being added such as a new museum and an additional petting zoo for children.

It is situated in Abu Dhabi and Sebawhich is a property development company has just announced the new development plans for Mushrif Park which will become known as Mushrif Central Park once the redevelopment has been completed. The park first came under the domain of the public in 1982 and was planned to be a park for mothers and their children. However it was recently agreed that the park needed to be rejuvenated and updated.

The present vice chairman of Al Ain Group of which Seba Properties is a subsidiary recently stated that an interactive museum for children and a new zoo will be added to Mushrif Central Park as well as new fountains and a new 3km path to be used by walkers and joggers.

Along with these new features there is also a botanic garden and shade house being planned as well as a performing arts centre and sculpture garden. Many new and exotic plants will be included in the redevelopment including many indigenous and naturalized species. The existing broadleaf and palm trees will also be removed and stored to be replanted once the park is ready for them.

A detailed plan for the new look Mushrif Central Park will be available for viewing by Seba properties at the Cityscape event  in Abu Dhabi in the coming days.
